This time I will discuss about Chinese food. We are certainly familiar with some Chinese foods, especially Chinese restaurants which are quite popular among the Indonesian people, moreover a lot of Indonesian food is influenced and created by Chinese culture considering that in the past many Chinese people traded and settled in Indonesia which led to the second acculturation. the culture.

This time I will discuss the food that I have practiced, namely Dim Sum Beancurd, Spring Roll and Scallion Pancake.

1. Dim Sum Beancurd

Dim Sum is a Cantonese term which means 'snack', while in Mandarin it is called Dianxin which literally means 'a little of the heart' or 'touch can'. In accordance with the portion per serving, which is small and indeed not much, only about three to four pieces in one plate or bamboo steamer container.




2. Chinese Spring Roll

The habit of eating spring rolls has been known since the Jin Dynasty (266-420 BC), its initial form was not like the spring rolls we know today. In the past, spring rolls were shaped like cakes or martabak, so they were also known as spring cakes.

This dish is traditionally consumed during Qing Ming celebrations, and is a thin cake filled with various types of vegetables. The development of the taste of this dish began to be more varied since the reign of the Tang Dynasty (618-907 BC). It was at that time that spices such as onions began to be widely used and their presentations began to be made to be enjoyed hot.

Spring roll continues to develop as a folk culinary from time to time, until when entering the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644 AD) and Qing Dynasties (1644-1911 AD) spring roll is considered a food to ward off bad luck or bad luck.




3. Scallion Pancakes

Cong you bing (cōngyóubǐng) [1] ( Simplified Chinese :葱油饼; Traditional Chinese :蔥油餅; pinyin : cōngyóubǐng ; lit. 'scallion oil pancake'; Chinese pronunciation [tsʰʊ́ŋjǒupìŋ] ), also known as “Scallion Pancake” is a bread flat from China made from flour and sliced ​​scallions added with spices that have a soft texture, some are crispy with a savory taste.
